The MuseStand is a humor website about science and people (especially kids), but I reserve the right to explore other areas too. My simple aims are to lighten the mood and entertain. Sometimes, I do feel the need to state the obvious, mainly when it's become wildly adrift. After all, we're human and prone to illogical logic... like visiting this site! What are you thinking?
From the many great books I read as a kid, especially by Dr. Seuss, I've always loved writing, drawing, and humor. The MuseStand satisfies a longstanding desire to engage my right hemisphere. What better way to excite some slumbering neurons than to build a site devoted to what I've always loved, where my creative doodles can also be shared.
A little imagination, exercise, a computer, a drawing tablet, Adobe, paper and pencil (sometimes), and a 5 am daily start time. With these tools, anything is possible, including rebuilding civilization... well, almost! A lathe and a McMaster-Carr catalog would be useful too!
I'm a fervent student of science and a keen observer of people. I've finished graduate level coursework in engineering, math, biology, and all facets of human studies (anatomy, physiology, behavior, etc.)... and I LOVE exploring the lighter side of these topics. Quiet time, thinking, design, and coffee are my vices. I hope my perspective offers a unique take on things. Thanks for visiting!
